Travel Instructions | Pack your favorite sleeping pills; Its a long flight. Ask the employees at the gate if there's any exit rows or upgrades available. You Never Know | Flights from Bangkok to Chiang Mai are cheap ($40) and leave often. Try to leave early Monday Morning to get the full day in Chiang Mai. | Flights to Koh Samui are more expensive than flying to other parts of Thailand because of the Bangkok airways monopoly. It's worth it though. You can fly to Surat Thani on Air Asia and take an hour and a half ferry to Koh Samui to save money. | Koh Samui to Bangkok is a short very flight but again expensive because of Bangkok Airways monopoly. Try to book this ahead of time! | |
Why You're there | The cheapest flights to access Thailand are through Bangkok. It also offers pretty much everything (like an NYC in Asia). Start your trip off with some unbelievable food and partying. Bangkok is the perfect place to spend the weekend. | Chiang Mai offers nature temples and AMAZING food. Explore the temples and city on Monday and schedule a nature activity (the elephant rehabilitation center is a great one) on Tuesday. | Lovely beaches wit ahffordable villas (think Jay-Z style) and beautiful landscapes make Koh Samui an ideal place to wind down after Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Spend one of the days on a boat tour and the beach and the others chillin at your private villa's infinity pool sipping freshly opened coconuts (adding rum is optional but strongly encouraged) | Definitely checkout Chatuchuk Market on Saturday morning/early afternoon for probably the coolest crafts market in the world (If you get into bkk early enough). Leave some room in your luggage. You can also fly into Bangkok Friday night if you want one more night there. |
